Opulence is a luxury-inspired branding project that explores the intersection of elegance, refinement, and modern design. The goal was to craft a visual identity that communicates sophistication through carefully selected typography, a restrained color palette, and minimal yet striking compositions. The system extends across packaging, print, and digital applications, ensuring a consistent sense of exclusivity and timelessness. By emphasizing balance and restraint, the project highlights how design can elevate perception and create an immersive brand experience.

Creative Objectives
In developing Opulence, I looked closely at luxury brands such as Gucci and Chanel, both of which use bold yet minimal design systems to communicate exclusivity and timelessness. I also studied Versace, whose highly decorative and ornate approach provided insight into what can sometimes feel overwhelming or dated in luxury branding. Researching these companies helped me understand the spectrum between restraint and excess, and how visual language can either elevate or dilute a brand’s perception. This balance directly influenced my work, guiding me toward a refined aesthetic that embraces elegance without unnecessary complexity.
Research
The custom bottles were designed to embody a sense of timeless luxury through minimal yet refined forms. Their clean silhouettes and subtle curves highlight clarity and precision, allowing the product itself to feel elevated and exclusive. By stripping away excess ornamentation, the bottles reinforce the brand’s balance of modern sophistication and elegance.
Custom Bottles
The advertisement campaign was designed to showcase the refined elegance of Opulence in both urban and lifestyle contexts. Large-scale visuals emphasized the clarity and sophistication of the custom bottles, while subtle use of water imagery reinforced the themes of purity and timeless luxury.

Aesop Packaging
Versace Packaging
Chanel relies on timeless minimalism and a restrained color palette to communicate elegance and exclusivity.
Aesop has a restrained, minimal design approach, and focuses on timeless packaging that feels premium without excess.
Versace uses bold colors and patterns, which can weaken brand equity and make the product feel less premium.
Drawing inspiration from the refined minimalism of Chanel and the understated packaging of Aesop, I focused on creating a brand identity that communicates luxury through restraint and clarity. By studying these approaches, I learned how subtle typography, clean layouts, and carefully selected materials can elevate a product’s perception without overwhelming the viewer. At the same time, I intentionally strayed away from the ornate and decorative style of Versace, ensuring the design avoided excess and stayed aligned with modern sensibilities.
This balance allowed me to craft a minimal rebrand that feels both timeless and sophisticated. The final system brings elegance into every application, from packaging to promotional, creating a cohesive and elevated experience.
The Solution
Working on Opulence gave me the opportunity to apply my design process to a real company, which challenged me to balance creative vision with professional expectations. Translating research into a minimal rebrand taught me how to refine ideas into practical, cohesive applications that communicate effectively across touchpoints. This experience pushed me to think more critically about how design choices shape brand perception, especially within the luxury market.
Most importantly, it helped me grow as a designer by strengthening my ability to collaborate, adapt, and create solutions that not only look polished but also serve the needs of a client.
